Seminars
Seminars are held at The Hilton Garden Inn on Veterans Highway near the Islip/MacArthur airport in a large well lit classroom where we will use a TV video monitor system.

Knitting Gatherings
Classes: As many of you know, I love teaching and now I'm teaching knitting classes in addition to the docorative painting classes. In September my friend Laurie and I will be teaching a 4 week session of beginner knitting for kids in 4th, 5th and 6th grades. The classes will be held in the Harborfields Library in Greenlawn on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. We will knit a cute scarf that is pictured below.
We will also be teaching an adult beginner knitting class in the library beginning in January. Please contact me to get on a waiting list and call me if you are not a resident of the Harborfields School District.
Meanwhile we are teaching small group classes with individualized instruction on a project of your shoice as well as "Clinics" for special needs. Please be in touch for details or with questions.
Charity: Nancy and I have enjoyed the time we spend with our "Heartwarmers" who knit/crochet items for a local organization called Care to Knit. Our wonderful group of momen meet the first Tuesday night and the second Friday morning of each month at The Harorfields Library. We' love to have you join us!
 
Tips for Success
I can't recommend Final Touch varnish more highly! I use it all the time - even for outside items and it doesn't yellow. When I'm occasionally inspired to really clean, I use it instead of wax on my painted pieces. It can be used over any other previous varnish, removes scratches and levels out the surface so things look like new. I love it on my floorcloths too.
